How To Apply One Gel Magnetic

Step 1

PREP

Clean nails with soap and water.

Trim or file nails (white side of included nail file) to desired length and shape.

Push back cuticles using the included manicure stick.

Lightly buff nail beds using the enclosed white mini buffer to remove natural shine and create subtle texture.

Remove any oils and residue from nails using the prep pad and let dry.

If you have split, bent, or chipped nails: Gently file to smooth and reshape. Trim off damaged area of nail, if possible, to maximize wear. Then continue with prep steps to ensure proper adhesion of the polish.

Step 2

APPLY

Shake bottle well to mix up magnetic particles.

Apply one coat of polish to one nail*.

*Effects must be activated and cured before moving onto the next nail.

PRO TIP: Make sure to cap your free edge with polish for longer-lasting wear.

Step 3

ADD EFFECT

Hover the flat side of the magnet about 1 inch away from your nail, slightly moving side to side along either the left or right side of your nail bed.

Once desired effect is created, repeat on the other side of the nail bed.

To finish, hover the magnet at the free edge of your nail bed, completing a classic velvet effect.*

*If desired outcome is not achieved or a mistake is made, run the brush over polish to reset magnetic particles.

PRO TIP: Avoid getting polish on the cuticle or skin; remove any polish or pooling between nail and skin before curing.

PRO TIP: For a more intense magnetic effect, apply an ultra-thin first coat (do not use the Power Magnet Tool), cure, then apply a second coat following the above instructions.

PRO TIP: Make sure to cap your free edge with polish for longer-lasting wear.

Step 4

CURE

After each nail, complete the following:

Press button on the back of lamp to activate LED light.

Cure for 60 seconds. Lamp will automatically turn off after 60 seconds.

PRO TIP: To ensure proper curing, please use the One Gel LED Lamp. One Gel is not compatible with the Dashing Diva Glaze Lamp.

NOTE: SmartShield technology allows you to safely connect USB-C to ANY power source – and can also cause your LED lamp to blink. Don’t worry, nothing is wrong. This is just the SmartShield doing its job.

OPTIONAL STEP: Apply & cure Dashing Diva One Gel Top Coat for extra shine.

Do I have to apply a top coat over One Gel?

While One Gel provides everything you need in a single layer, we also offer the One Gel Top Coat, designed to enhance your manicure and provide even better 14-day wear. With the addition of the top coat, you’ll experience even more shine and durability on top of what One Gel already offers.

How thick or thin of a layer should I apply?

For One Gel solid colors, each layer applied should be thin. One layer will provide you with a full, flawless coverage, however you may apply a second coat if you desire extra opacity. When using One Gel Magnetic, be sure to only apply one layer, thicker than you would for color, before activating the effects with the magnet tool.

Can I use the Mini LED Lamp to cure One Gel?

No, all One Gel Products must be cured with the One Gel lamp, as any lesser wattage will not fully cure the gel, leaving the polish dull and gummy.

How do I remove One Gel?

Blot a thick layer of our NEW One Gel Magic Off onto nails. After 3 minutes, the remover will begin activating, however you may experience best results by waiting 5-7 minutes. Once gel begins to bubble off, use the included tool to push gel off nails. Repeat until all gel is removed.

For removal, please note that One Gel is only compatible with our One Gel Magic Off. Magic Off+ is not designed to remove One Gel and may cause further damage if paired with the attempt to force polish off nails.

Is the removal process the same if I apply the new Gel Top Coat?

If you’ve applied our Gel Top Coat over One Gel, be sure to buff the surface of your nails to disrupt the outer layer, allowing Magic Off to reach and remove the gel polish.

I’m experiencing a bit of discomfort when I apply One Gel Magic Off. Is this normal?

Experiencing a slight tingling sensation while using Magic Off is normal! If this feeling becomes too uncomfortable, run your nails under cold water and wipe the remaining product off your skin. Avoid contact with the cuticle & surrounding skin, focusing the remover exclusively on your nail beds to prevent any reaction.

Is One Gel HEMA-free?

All One Gel polishes do currently contain HEMA, however, we are working to develop a HEMA-free version in the future!

I’m experiencing chipping before day 14. How can I prevent this from happening?

If you’re experiencing premature chipping, be sure to cap your free edge to help seal the edges of your manicure/pedicure. For a visual of how to do so, see the following tutorial.

Can I use the One Gel Top Coat on any Dashing Diva products?

Yes! You can, but you definitely don't need to. We created this top coat to enhance the shine and durability of all our products, allowing you to achieve the best & longest-wearing mani/pedi possible!

What is the tool included in the One Gel Magic Off Remover Kit used for?

That tool is a dual-sided cuticle pusher/gel remover. The curved end is meant to push back outgrown cuticles, while the sharper end can be used to remove the bits of gel that need a little extra push.

How many watts is the One Gel Lamp?

This is a 10W lamp, so it’s very important that you use it to cure One Gel. Any lesser wattage will not fully cure your mani and it will soon become a mess!

Can I use the One Gel LED Lamp with other Dashing Diva products?

Yes! The One Gel LED Lamp is compatible with both GLAZE and One Gel products.

I love these! perfect for someone who is busy, doesn't want to go though million steps and wants something better than regular polish.
I've been doing my nails for years with gel polish. To make sure you get a good application you have to do so many steps. Since i had my child i don't have time for this anymore. I saw this polish at sally's, and was intrigued. Because i wanted something that applies quickly, is a little more long lasting than a standard nail polish (i get over nail colors quickly) and can be dried under led so it doesn't smear like other standard nail polishes. Dashind Diva is the answer! i honestly don't care about the longevity, i haven't tested it. I just made sure to buff my nails, and I honestly use acetone to dry them out and use primer (which doesn't take much time to do). The magnet particles are gorgeous tbh and react to the magnet really nicely. Not many magnet gels do that. It also evens out so well! i normally do a builder coat to even things out, i didn't need it with this one!
Lots of people who complain about chipping on here, from their images i can see their cuticles were flooded originally. Your gel polish won't last if your application is messy, unfortunately,
Btw, i applied this on just naked nails, no color underneath. I like it this way. I hope they come up with more magnetic polishes. can't wait to try them

Color is darker than expected but so pretty
This is my current mani color and I’ve received several compliments. The formula used for all One Gel colors is fantastic for at home manicures. I do use a base and a top coat but that’s more of a preference than a necessity. About the color - in person it’s more of a burgundy than a fuchsia but the brightness will depend on how you use a magnet for the metallic shift.

Perfect feminine pink
Barbie would be proud to wear this color. She just needs a matching lipstick. This was my second color purchase through Walmart. I got more compliments with this color than any color I’ve ever worn and I’ve been doing this since 2012. Sorry I never took a picture of it. I wore it for a month.
