Glaze Extensions

How are these different from Glaze?

Both products are made with a soft gel formula that molds to the curve of your natural nail—except Glaze Extensions are pre-shaped and add length. After curing and sealing, they’re completely ready to wear.*

*No trimming or filing necessary, but you do need to finish with the anti-stick sealant.

Can I use my Glaze lamp to cure Glaze Extensions?

No—you’ll have to use either the Glaze Extensions LED Lamp or the One Gel LED Lamp to cure these. The Glaze Mini LED Lamp is not strong enough to fully cure Glaze Extensions, so please do not attempt!

Are these HEMA-free?

Yes—Glaze Extensions are perfectly safe for anyone with a gel allergy!

Can I shorten or reshape the extensions?

If you wish to re-shape or shorten Glaze Extensions, you may do so by filing AFTER curing. Do not trim with a clipper or scissor—this will lead to the nail cracking!

Can I use nail glue to adhere these?

Glaze Extensions already have a pre-applied adhesive, therefore they do not require any additional nail glue. For optimal results, please follow the original instructions and cure the strips under LED light, rather than using nail glue and letting nails air dry. Application methods are not interchangeable and will result in unsuccessful wear.

Why do the strips still feel soft and bendy after curing?

Some designs need a second cure to reach max strength. Gently press the edge of the nail tip or tap it against the lamp—if there’s a noticeable amount of give/flexibility, cure once more to increase hardness.

Are these safe for weak or damaged nails?

These are actually perfect for weak or damaged nails* when the correct prep and removal is followed. Glaze Extensions act as a layer of protection, allowing your natural nails the opportunity to uninterruptedly grow without breaking throughout wear. Use Magic Off+ to safely and gently remove Glaze Extensions without compromising the health of your nails.

*If nails are in critical condition, please consult a healthcare professional prior to use.

What are the biggest mistakes to avoid?

When selecting your sizes, always size down! The biggest culprit to nails prematurely lifting is selecting a size too large for your nail bed. Always lift the strip from the free-edge side (indicated by the ▼ above each strip), as minimizing contact with the adhesive will ensure optimal adhesion.

Also, be sure to apply the anti-stick sealant to avoid dust, hair, and anything else from sticking underneath your nail tips.

Lastly and MOST IMPORTANTLY, always store remaining strips in their container with the cover on. Exposing the strips to any light source can compromise future wear by hardening them prior to the next use.
