How To Apply One Gel Color

Step 1

PREP

Clean nails with soap and water.

Trim or file nails to desired length and shape.

Push back cuticles.

Lightly buff nail beds using a buffer to remove natural shine and create subtle texture.

Step 2

APPLY

Pick up a small amount of polish on the brush and apply one ultra-thin coat of gel polish to nails. Ensuring a thin layer is crucial for an even cure, leading to a long-lasting wear.

PRO TIP: Make sure to cap your free edge with polish for longer-lasting wear.

Step 3

CURE

Press button on the back of the One Gel Lamp* to activate LED light.

Cure nails* for 60 seconds. The lamp fits four fingers at a time. Cure thumb separately.

Apply a second coat of gel polish to nails, then cure. For desired opacity, apply a third coat.

*Curing results may vary if an LED lamp from another brand is used.

Do I have to apply a top coat over One Gel?

While One Gel provides everything you need in a single layer, we also offer the One Gel Top Coat, designed to enhance your manicure and provide even better 14-day wear. With the addition of the top coat, you’ll experience even more shine and durability on top of what One Gel already offers.
How thick or thin of a layer should I apply?

For One Gel solid colors, each layer applied should be thin. One layer will provide you with a full, flawless coverage, however you may apply a second coat if you desire extra opacity. When using One Gel Magnetic, be sure to only apply one layer, thicker than you would for color, before activating the effects with the magnet tool.
Can I use the Mini LED Lamp to cure One Gel?

No, all One Gel Products must be cured with the One Gel lamp, as any lesser wattage will not fully cure the gel, leaving the polish dull and gummy.
How do I remove One Gel?

Blot a thick layer of our NEW One Gel Magic Off onto nails. After 3 minutes, the remover will begin activating, however you may experience best results by waiting 5-7 minutes. Once gel begins to bubble off, use the included tool to push gel off nails. Repeat until all gel is removed.

For removal, please note that One Gel is only compatible with our One Gel Magic Off. Magic Off+ is not designed to remove One Gel and may cause further damage if paired with the attempt to force polish off nails.
Is One Gel HEMA-free?

All One Gel polishes do currently contain HEMA, however, we are working to develop a HEMA-free version in the future!
I’m experiencing chipping before day 14. How can I prevent this from happening?

If you’re experiencing premature chipping, be sure to cap your free edge to help seal the edges of your manicure/pedicure. For a visual of how to do so, see the following tutorial.

    Works shockingly well

    I’m so impressed by this brand and light. Pic is of “Attention” on my toes after I did one coat TWO WEEKS ago, and just spent the last three days in dive booties and fins scalloping in FL. The milkier colors (I have the light pink) didn’t last quite as long on my hands, but still around a week or so. Overall I’m thrilled with this kit and will be buying more colors.

    Pretty pale pink gel polish

    Pretty pale pink gel polish - Aristocrat. I love to use this on my nails, both my fingers & especially my toes. I love the subtle pink color, but it keeps my nails looking super polished & shiny. Its really perfect. So easy to use. Just need a thin layer & the light lamp to set it. Dries quick & stays beautiful for along time! I received this product for free for the purpose of my review.     Red That Hits Just Right

    Okay, the shade Attention is stunning - a rich, true red with a glossy finish that somehow feels bold and classic at the same time. It’s not too bright, not too dark - just super clean and striking. Honestly felt like I had my life together the second I finished. I took a few extra minutes to prep - washed my hands, shaped my nails, pushed back the cuticles, and lightly buffed the surface so the polish would actually stick. I wiped them down with a prep pad to make sure they were totally clean before starting. The polish went on super smooth - I kept the first coat really thin and made sure to cap the edges, which helps it last longer. Cured it under the LED lamp, then added the second coat and did the same. No streaks, no weird clumping - just easy. It’s an all-in-one formula, so no base or topcoat needed, which I love because it cuts down the time without sacrificing the look. I’m a few days in and it still looks glossy and fresh - no chips, no dullness. If you’re into bold reds that feel a little fancy but still easy to wear, the shade Attention is a solid pick.
